On March 7, 2009 team BOBBY D's supported the Minnesota Special Olympics during their annual "Polar Bear Plunge" event. The 13 member team jumped into the frigid waters of Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis to support this great organization. In addition, the BOBBY D's concession stand was there to sell breadsticks with sauce. It was a memorable day to celebrate winter and the athletes of the Minnesota Special Olympics.
On September 12th, BOBBY D's hosted a lasagna dinner for 275 people in the quaint Cottagewood neighborhood of Deephaven, Minnesota. Proceeds benefit the Historic Cottagewood General Store, dating back to 1895. It was a great way to celebrate Fall and support this historic landmark.
